Dulce de Leche Arroz con Leche

One of my favorite childhood comfort recipes is a delightful dish that brings back warm memories of home and family gatherings. Recently, I decided to add a little twist by incorporating La Lechera Dulce de Leche, which provides a rich, creamy sweetness that enhances the classic flavor profile. This indulgent ingredient perfectly complements the nostalgic elements of the recipe, resulting in a treat that not only satisfies my cravings but also evokes the comforting essence of my childhood.


Ingredients 

  • 2 cups of water  

  • 1 cup of white rice  
  • 1 cinnamon stick  
  • Pinch of salt  
  • 12 oz can of Carnation Evaporated Milk  
  • 13.4 oz can of La Lechera Dulce de Leche  

For a traditional Arroz con Leche, replace Dulce de Leche with Sweetened Condensed Milk.

  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract  
  • 2-3 cups of whole milk  

If you like your dish extra soupy, feel free to add more milk to your taste.

  • Ground Cinnamon for Garnishing 


One can of Dulce de leche provides the perfect sweetness, but you can add more sugar to suit your taste.


Instructions


  1. Measure 2 cups of water and pour it into a medium pot. Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to high. 
  2. Once it reaches a boil, add the rice, cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and one tablespoon of vanilla extract.  
  3.  Boil over medium heat or until 50-60% of the water has evaporated, then stir in the dulce de leche until it is completely dissolved.
  4. Lastly, add the evaporated milk and whole milk. 
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring continuously until it reaches a smooth, silky thickness.
  6. This dessert can be savored warm and chilled, making it the ideal make-ahead dessert for any occasion.

Una de mis recetas favoritas de infancia es el Arroz con Leche, que me trae cálidos recuerdos de mi hogar y 

reuniones familiares. Recientemente, decidí darle un pequeño giro incorporando La Lechera Dulce de Leche, que proporciona un dulzor rico y cremoso que realza el perfil de sabor clásico. Este ingrediente complementa perfectamente los elementos nostálgicos de la receta, lo que da como resultado una delicia que no solo satisface mis antojos sino que también evoca la reconfortante esencia de mi infancia.




Ingredientes 

  • 2 tazas de agua  
  • 1 taza de arroz blanco  
  • 1 rama de canela  
  • Una pizca de sal  
  • Lata de 12 oz de Leche Evaporada Clavel  
  • Lata de 13.4 oz de La Lechera Dulce de Leche  

Para un Arroz con Leche tradicional, reemplace el Dulce de Leche con Leche Condensada.

  • 1 cucharada de extracto de vanilla  
  • 2-3 tazas de leche entera  

Si le gusta más caldoso, no dude en agregar más leche a su gusto.

  • Canela molida para adornar

Una lata de dulce de leche proporciona el dulzor perfecto, pero puedes agregar más azúcar según tu gusto.


instrucciones

  1. Mide 2 tazas de agua y viértela en una olla mediana. Coloca la olla en la estufa y enciende el fuego a alto. Una vez que hierva, agrega el arroz, la canela, una pizca de sal y una cucharada de extracto de vainilla.  
  2. Hervir a fuego medio o hasta que se haya evaporado el 50-60% del agua, luego agregar el dulce de leche y mezcla hasta que se disuelva por completo.
  3. Por último, agrega la leche evaporada y la leche entera.
    Lleva la mezcla a ebullición, luego reduce el fuego y déjala hervir a fuego lento durante 10 minutos, revolviendo continuamente hasta que alcance una consistencia suave y espesa.
  4. Este postre se puede saborear caliente y frío, lo que lo convierte en el postre ideal para preparar con anticipación para cualquier ocasión.
